Energize Erie
This community revitalization group started in April 2021 when 25 local people met for a "Community Conversation" led by K-State Research and Extension. Since that time the group meets periodically to share updates and local needs. In January 2022, the group became a Kansas Community Empowerment project with K-State Research and Extension.
They successfully wrote a grant for nearly $25,000 for The Erie City Public Library and Erie Senior Center to get equipment needed for projects. They also started this website and run The Erie Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. To be added to the email list to be notified of upcoming meetings and to receive the minutes, please email us: eriekansaschamber@gmail.com.
